PHA

Create your products with Full Cycle PHA

Our PHA resin is the most sustainable and cost-competitive alternative to petroleum-based plastics.

Partnership Benefits

  • Goodbye plastic pollution
Our PHA is a compostable alternative to petroleum-based plastics, and our competitive pricing creates the potential for widespread adoption in both developed and emerging markets.
  • Low-cost PHA
Our technology produces low-cost PHA bioplastics that are cost-competitive with petroleum-based alternatives, making the decision to displace plastics in your supply chain that much easier.
  • Biodegradable after use
If not upcycled, our PHA can degrade in the soil or the ocean without harming the environment or biodiversity at all.
  • Strengthens your brand image
Help your customers make a conscious, sustainable choice.
  • Limits your environmental footprint
Each ton of feedstock diverted from the landfill equates to CO2e and methane not being emitted.
  • Fully tailorable
The range of applications that can be made with our PHA is enormous. We work with you to produce PHA that meets the specifications of your existing materials and target products.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Full Cycle PHA available for sale commercially?

With the overwhelming demand for PHA, we are currently working with select partners on joint development projects. If you are interested in co-developing custom PHA products, please contact us.

If you’re interested in purchasing PHA in the future— when it’s commercially available— please fill out this form, and we’ll reach out when it’s available.

  • How much does Full Cycle PHA cost?

The price of our PHA depends on the facility where it is being produced, the region, and its target applications. Please contact us for specifics.

  • What applications can your PHA be used for?

Our PHA polymer applications include (but aren’t limited to): multi-layer mainates, flexible films, injection molded parts, thermoforming, 3D filaments, and fabric fibers.

  • Can Full Cycle PHA be processed using traditional polymer processing techniques?

Yes. Our PHA can be processed using injection blow molding, extrusion blow molding, and stretch blow molding, among others.

  • How does the Full Cycle process work?

We break down mixed organic waste streams into volatile fatty acids (VFAs). VFAs are long and medium chain fatty acids which we then feed to our bacteria. Through our patented control process, we build up PHA in the bacteria cells and then harvest it. Finally, the harvested cells are dried and processed into the PHA resin that can be used in standard polymer processing techniques.

  • Is Full Cycle PHA fully biodegradable?

Yes. Unlike many competing bioplastic technologies, we use a natural process with non-GMO bacteria to convert mixed feedstocks into our PHA; meaning it biodegrades naturally in the ecosystem.
